Yes, you'll receive an email confirmation with your e-ticket attached as a PDF. Don't worry, you can open and show your e-ticket PDF directly from the email, or print it off and bring it with you when you travel.
How do you use an eTicket at the station?
Once you've received your eTicket, you can either add it to your Apple Wallet (iOS) or Google Wallet (Android) on your phone, print the ticket, or just show the ticket's QR code from your email. Scan the QR code on the reader at the gate, or allow one of our colleagues to scan the ticket upon request.
Can I use my eTicket on my phone?
Yes, etickets are sent as PDF attachments, so you can open them on a different device if you need to. Mobile Tickets are linked to your device, so you have to remove it from one before you can open it on another.

In some cases, you'll have to print out your eTicket to show to the staff at check-in (along with, of course, your passport and visa, if required). You may not need to show these to anyone if you check in with a self-service check-in kiosk. You'll also be able to check in online if that makes it easier for you.

Can I change my e ticket to a paper ticket? No You can't. You can either take print out of the Ticket from the IRCTC ID used to book it, or use the SMS send by IRCTC or use the print out of the confirmation email of Ticket sent by IRCTC to the registered email with the account.

Credit and debit cards are accepted for the purchase of Amtrak tickets and services at all staffed stations. Debit cards must have a credit card logo and will be processed as credit card transactions; cards that require the entry of a PIN (personal identification number) are not accepted.
