Can you use a Disneyland ticket with someone else’s name?

Any eligibility requirements for a theme park ticket, such as residency requirements for certain promotional tickets, must be met by whoever uses the ticket. In most cases, it is OK if the name associated with an eTicket does not match the name of the person actually using it.

Does the name on my Disneyland ticket matter?

The name linked to your theme park ticket is a useful way to help keep multiple tickets straight in the Disneyland mobile app. However, in most cases for standard tickets, it is not strictly necessary for the name to match exactly with the Guest using the ticket.

Can someone else use my Disney ticket?

Yes. If the ticket has not yet been used, you can reassign a ticket to another person on your Family & Friends list. To do so, visit the My Reservations section of My Disney Experience, locate the ticket you wish to reassign and select the “Reassign Ticket” link to the right of the ticket.

Can someone else use my Disney ticket if I can’t go?

No, please note that all Multi-Day Theme Park tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the same person. The person that uses the ticket for the very first time must use the ticket for its entirety. Any tickets that are transferred are in violation of this restriction and are invalid for admission.

Do you need to show ID to get I to Disneyland?

If you are using Standard Theme Park Tickets, you do not need a valid government-issued photo ID for admission into the Disneyland Resort parks. However, there are special tickets that DO require a valid government-issued photo ID for admission, such as military tickets.

Does your Disney ticket need to match your ID?

I'm happy to let you know that you do not need to worry about the name on your ticket matching your ID, unless that ticket is a special ticket, like the Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket. Those tickets must be scanned for the first time with a valid ID.

Linking a ticket to another Guest in your travel party is very easy! If you are already connected to this family member via My Family & Friends, sign in to your Disney account and visit Link Tickets. Enter the Will Call Confirmation Number or Ticket ID and link it to your family member.

Can you reassign Disney tickets to someone else?

As you are aware, each adult using a California resident promotional ticket must show proof of eligibility. That needs to be a valid government-issued photo ID that shows your current address in California.

Can someone use my Disney ticket?

Theme park tickets are not technically assigned until you pass through those gates for the first time. At that point, a Cast Member will take a photo of the Guest which will pop up every time the ticket is used. As long as you transfer the ticket before its first use, you should be good to go!
