The simplest way to amend your tickets is online via My Booking. For eticket bookings you pay the difference between your original ticket and new ticket, plus a change fee. If your new ticket is cheaper than the original, then you only pay the fee but the difference will not be refunded.
Does Trainline assign seats together?
If you make a seat reservation for a booking of more than one person, our system will choose the best selection of seats from those available. You might get some seat numbers that don't look like they're together, but this might be because they're sat around a table.
Can train tickets be edited?
Passengers can approach the nearest Railway Station/Railway Reservation Office with a print-out of the e-Ticket and an original photo Identity proof of one of the passengers traveling in the ticket, to make any change.
Can you change a pre booked train ticket?
If you have an Advance ticket and need to change the day or time that you are travelling, you can amend your ticket right up to the time your journey is due to begin.
Can you edit seats on Trainline?

If your seats are not grouped together then either: the train is full, only limited availability left. the ticket types you have booked don't match. 2 separate bookings were made independently of each other.
Can I edit my ticket after booking?
If you need to change your flight dates, destinations, or times, your ticket must be reissued. In some cases, airlines will charge a fee for exchanging a ticket. Airline ticket changes are per ticket and costs can widely vary depending on the type of ticket you purchased.
Can my ticket be upgraded?
The passengers for upgradation are selected automatically (except in cases where the passenger has shown his unwillingness to be upgraded) on random basis by the System at the time of preparation of reservation charts. All the passengers on a ticket are upgraded together.
Can I get an earlier train if I have booked?
This depends on the ticket type. Can be used on a different time train providing the earlier or later train is also within the terms of conditions of the ticket. Can you change seats after boarding?
It's sometimes possible to change seats once you're on board the aircraft, but please don't change seats without asking a flight attendant first.
