We know that airlines do try to seat families together. But these days, paying customers pony up sometimes hundreds of bucks for their seats on full flights. In this scenario, the airlines sometimes cannot incentivize other travelers to change seats to accommodate a family.

If you've not already checked-in you can add or change seats up until two hours before your flight departs by logging in to Manage Bookings. If you've already checked-in and want to change your seats you'll need to contact our Customer Service team and they will make the changes for you.

It all depends on how many other people on that particular flight decide to pay to select their seats. If it is going to upset you to be apart, even for only a relatively short time, then bite the bullet and pay to select your seats now rather than leaving it to chance.

Seats can be selected at the time of booking, or at any time before you check-in, via Manage bookings on our website or mobile app. On bookings with more than one passenger, allocated seats must be selected for all passengers on the booking otherwise we cannot allow any allocated seats to be purchased.
What is the minimum connection time for EasyJet?
All our flights are 'point to point'. If you have a connecting or transit flight with us or any other carrier, you will need to collect any luggage you have, clear customs and immigration and check-in again for your next flight. We recommended you leave at least 2 hours between connecting flights.
Does Easyjet do random seat allocation?
Passengers who don't pay for a particular spot will be randomly allocated a seat as well when they check in, free of charge, although the chances of getting a seat up front will be diminished.
What happens if you don’t select seat easyJet?
If you don't select a seat we'll assign seats randomly for free when you check in and will do all we can to ensure everyone on the booking sits together. However this is not guaranteed, especially when checking in closer to departure. Fees vary depending on the route selected, flight and time of booking.
