To access the top, you can climb 284 steps, or take an elevator to the mid-level and climb 64 stairs to the top. From the observation deck at the top of the arch, breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, the Sacré Coeur, and the Louvre are in store.
Do you need to book to climb the Arc de Triomphe?
While it is possible to purchase tickets on arrival at the Arc de Triomphe we highly recommend booking your tickets in advance of your visit. Tickets on arrival require an additional queue at the ticket desk which is typically long and time-consuming.
Do you need to book to go up the Arc de Triomphe?
You can still visit the Arc de Triomphe without reserving tickets in advance. We highly recommend booking your tickets in advance as you will skip the ticket line. This can save you around 1 hour of queuing to get tickets on a typical day, and possibly even more on busy days.
